Registered death numbers in Hong Kong 2022, by cause of death

In 2022, 61,557 deaths were registered in Hong Kong, with around one quarter of the deaths being caused by cancer. Heart diseases and pneumonia were also major causes of concern, contributing approximately another 25 percent of the total deaths. Other leading single causes of death include cerebrovascular diseases, dementia, and diabetes.
